Got a New Cast Member for Survivor..
So everyone knows that the economy is hurting right now and in an effort to save money we have began recycling our clothing.

Here's the story----
Jason has had a particular pair of shorts for several years...I would say about ten because he has had them and worn them since I have known him. Heck, they are probably for high school but anyway, a few years ago we noticed a small hole in them and he has refused to give them up. The hole has progressively gotten worse over the years and had turned into a tear. Be that as it may, they are his cozy shorts, yard shorts, and any other type of shorts he can think of to avoid me throwing them out. I am sure everyone has that one piece of clothing that they refuse to give up for one reason or another. It may be sentimental or whatever. Anyway, he put his favorite pair of shorts on this past Saturday and went out in the yard to begin cleaning out the fish pond. By the end of the afternoon there was nothing holding the shorts together except the waistband and still Jason wanted to salvage them somehow. I am being serious here people. He wanted to know what we could do with them. I guess he thought I could whip something together considering I have a sewing machine and half way know how to work it. Well, while I was in Gabriella's room feeding her, this is what managed to happen to the shorts. Like I said, times are hard and we must recycle and prevent waste =)
Now, updates on Gab-a-rella:
1.) Today was her 4 month check up and as the doctor stated so eloquently, "This girl is just big all the way around"! She is weighing in at 14 lbs 9 ounces which makes her 90th percentile for weight. She is 25 1/2 inches long, having grown 5 and 1/2 inches since birth, and in the 95th percentile. And lastly the infamous "Calfee head" is in the 75th percentile! He said she is looking great. She lucked out and didn't have to get her shots today because we changed docs and he wants her records before he administers shots so we will have to deal with that the first week in June.
2.) She began sleeping in her crib instead of her bassinet at night. A few nights ago I heard the bassinet rocking back and forth and considering she is starting to roll on her side and whatnot we decided it was best to go ahead and transition to her crib. We thought it would be a task but no, not for our little girl. She took to it the first night, sleeping 9 hours straight of course! =) That's our girl!
So here are a couple pictures of my lovely from this past few days!

Oh my gosh Gabby is so cute! And I love what you did with Jason's shorts, to funny! Talking about not wanting to throw things out, Rusty is like that except his deal is not wanting to throw out this bottle of shampoo... weird I know! It doesn't even have enough in it to wash Halle's hair (and she doesn't have any!) much less his hair. He says that it's his special shampoo, but he won't tell me why it's his special shampoo. Oh well! I was going to tell you that I am bringing Halle's take-a-long swing and her bumbo seat and that's the two bigger things I am bringing. I'm not sure if we will bring her pack and play or not. Anyway, what all are you packing for Gabs? Love you, can't wait to see you guys!

I LOVE the picture of Gabby in her watermelon dress - sitting all big in her chair. My goodness, how they grow too fast.
