Taking a moment to breath...

Well it is Saturday afternoon and we just got home from the Crawfish Festival. It was tons of fun and I think we are all pooped. Jason is lying on one couch and I on the other. The kids, well Hayden is in his bedroom playing and Gabby hasn't made it out of her carseat yet because she is sleeping. I think we are all worn out and are going to hang around the house for the rest of the evening. We have been so busy these past few weeks that it is time for a breather. I already put my "comfy clothes" on and am loving relaxing. Of course those of you that know me know that I love to get my "stretchies", as I call them, on as soon as I walk in the door!

Anyway, here is a recap of today's events.

1.) Jason got to taste crawfish for the first time..he is not as crazy about them as I am. He said he felt like there was poopy all over the part you are supposed to eat. Sorry for being so explicit but if you are reading this then chances are you know we are a very open and gross family =) I was going to type another word besides poopy but why try to sugar coat what he said with more socially acceptable terminology.

2.) There was a benefit for child abuse prevention at the festival and there were some massage therapists working their magic fingers for donations, so of course Jason and I both had to take the opportunity to get a massage! I went first and I was so relaxed while I was getting it that I asked the massage therapist if she had time to "do my husband". Once the words came out of my mouth I realized how it sounded, she probably thought I was some sort of swinger because I could not wait to get my hubby in her chair! Ha Ha! Just take a look!
3.) Hayden got to meet Spongebob!!! They even had the pineapple house setup and all. Image that, a little Bikini Bottom right in the coliseum! Well, Hayden was a little bit nervous to meet Spongebob and ended up getting a little upset..those of you that know Hayden know how soft hearted he is. Prime example was Chuck E. Cheese last weekend. My poor baby was scared of Chuck E. cheese! Anyway, we did manage to take a couple pictures.

Hayden also rode some rides and played some games. It was a really fun day.

Oh, before I close I forgot to add a picture of last nights smashing game of Twister! I don't remember Twister being so difficult. Jason played for about two minutes and quit because his back was hurting..man he is turning into an old man!!! Hayden is in his undies of course. I guess it added to his flexibility.

Lastly, some pics of Cutie-Patooty Booty-

She wore blue jeans for the first time this week. I was talking to her and said "Look baby's got her blue jeans on". I immediately thought of that old song- I don't know if anyone knows the song but it goes like-

Down on the corner, by the traffic light, everybody's lookin', as she goes by, they turn their heads and they, watch her till she's gone.Lord have mercy, Baby's got her blue jeans on!

Anyway, as you can imagine, I spent the rest of the day singing that to her....poor girl!

How fun! I would love to get a massage!! but not in public :) And I wouldn't dare eat crawfish. We use to catch them in the ditch and fish with them.. yuck.
Sounds like a fun weekend for all of you.
